My main interests are organic gardening, native wildlife and eBay. For many years I spent all my free time working with animals at a wildlife rehabilitation unit. Last year I began a new project - planting trees and bushes that will provide food and habitat for native songbirds. Unfortunately I live in an area of rapid developement which means increasing loss of habitat for our wildlife and a greater need for awareness, education and, occasionally, intervention. The plight of homeless cats is also a major concern and I am a fervent supporter of cat rescue and adoption agencies and no-kill shelters. A minimum of 10% of all profits from my eBay store is used for animal causes.
Plans for this website include sections on wildlife rescue and rehabilitation, cat rescue and adoption, and a section on one of my favorite things - vintage and classic Coach purses including my guide to buying Authentic Coach purses.
I have been an eBay member since 2001. I bought my first Coach on eBay and was instantly hooked - both on Coach and on eBay! Eventually I began buying and selling Coach purses as a hobby. I love the quality, craftsmanship and timeless designs of their classic, all leather purses. Since I opened my eBay store Alliebeans I have added other items - Coach keyrings, wallets, cosmetic bags, eyeglass cases, vintage and new women's clothing (especially the fun and original designs of Carole Little), and anything else I think someone will enjoy. Check the 'surprise' category where you might find such items as a Steiff Sortiment, a vintage Burroughs Adding machine or a Curta calculator. Classic, modern, eyecatching or unusual, always good value and, hopefully, never boring!
My selling philosophy:
I try to be the kind of seller that I like to buy from. This is not a business. I do it because I enjoy it and, hopefully, make a little profit - some of which helps animals. I enjoy the fun of 'real' auctions so I start many of my auctions at very low prices with no reserve. I sell authentic, pre-owned Coach items. I describe what I see, provide lots of photographs and try to answer e-mails promptly. I pack carefully, ship promptly and return all feedback. I really want my buyers to be pleased with their purchases.
A little caution for bidders:
I try to show the actual condition, including any flaws, of the items I sell but, sometimes, photographs make an item look better than it really is, and flaws that show on my monitor may not be obvious on yours. If I describe an item as 'faded' or 'well scuffed' please believe me even if the photograph shows otherwise!
